【袁立公益】生而柔软，让我们都来帮帮她
广西边境，山的那边就是越南了。第一次看到喀斯特地貌，很震撼！群峰并峙，云蒸雾绕。在普通人眼里感觉会很特别很美，但在职防院医生和我们这些公益人的眼中，心中自是一沉，不知道这又会有出什么矿？由此又生成许多的职业病来。
职防院的医生曾到这里做过筛查，结果发现这个地区有许多的尘肺病人，特别是有不少女性患者。这究竟是为什么呢？原来这个地方盛产一种宝贵矿藏：锰矿。这种矿石广泛用于各个工业领域，尤其是钢铁行业。也正是因为锰资源丰富，造福了一方百姓，也让许多人染上了可怕的尘肺病……
第一次走进这户人家，秋妹（化名）。她小小的脑袋探出来，像个小姑娘，只是没想到已经是两个孩子的妈妈了。令人惊诧的是，她浑身的皮很硬，身体像是被包在一个硬壳里。她得的是硬皮病，这种一种罕见的尘肺病引起的全身免疫系统问题，至今没有什么彻底根治的好药。最好的药是2800块一支，根本不是普通家庭能承担的。
袁老师摸着秋妹的手，久久说不出话来。秋妹说这个病简直太痛苦了，上厕所都蹲不下，被硬皮紧紧包裹着。手僵硬的做不了什么活儿，穿衣服系扣子都很困难。硬皮病的痛苦真的难以想象，后期甚至连打针的针头都打不进去。有人比喻说，得了尘肺病真的不想活了，可发展成硬皮病简直是马上就想死。
It was our first time visiting Qiumei. When we arrived at her house, she was already waiting for us at the front door, popping her head out to greet us with the enthusiasm of a mischievous child. However, only after talking to her for a few moments did we notice something unusual — her skin was hard, as if she was wrapped in a shell of rock. We soon learned that she was afflicted with scleroderma, an infrequent complication of pneumoconiosis which attacks the immune system and can’t be completely cured by drugs yet. The most effective medicine for it costs 2800 yuan per dose, an expense that an average family cannot bear, neither can hers. Yet it is the disease itself that is truly unbearable. Her skin tightened to the point where she was too exhausted to even perform daily tasks like using the toilet or buttoning her clothes. What’s worse, If her scleroderma had progressed to the advanced stages, the needle for injections might not have been able to penetrate her skin. Listening to Qiu’s story and touching her diseased skin, Ms. Yuan Li fell into silence for a long while. The misery experienced by patients suffering from scleroderma is beyond the imagination of ordinary people. No wonder it is said that if you contract pneumoconiosis, you might wish for death, but if you are additionally attacked by scleroderma, you might wish it to come the next second.
秋妹简单介绍了她当时挖矿的情形，点一个蜡烛坐在地上开始挖，挖深了就把自己吊在一个篮子里。狭小的空间，可挖至百米。可以想象，没有劳动保护的前提下，灰尘弥漫最后都淤积在肺里。还有说不清的各种矿辐射，直接侵蚀着身体。只是这一切都没换来她想要的美好生活，没了劳动能力还要抚养两个年幼的孩子。也从没敢想过，去大医院认真治疗一下。对于我们的到来也一直是懵的状态，以至于袁老师要解释什么是公益组织？我们给她家做了助学帮扶。这次我们是和职防院的医生一起下乡的，医生建议村里所有的尘肺病患者统一去南宁去诊治。我们也承诺，治疗是个长期的过程，国家新农合报销外的费用由我们基金会来承担。
临别，秋妹向我们深鞠躬，眼睛里都是泪水。我想，她的日子太难了，终于来了一群天使。这篇稿子发出的时候，秋妹已经去南宁完成第一次治疗，身体柔软了些，他们村里的许多患者也都去治疗了，当地医院也出资解决了村民的吃饭问题，真好，只要人人献出一点爱，这世界将变的更美好！
At parting, Qiumei gave us a deep bow, her tear-filled eyes conveying much gratitude. At the time this article released, she had already completed her first round of treatment, and her hands have become noticeably softer. We all hope and pray for a miracle to help her restore her formerly limber body, so that joy can once again be etched on her face.
